He was a pioneer in the construction of a large labor movement class consciousness in the most adverse conditions, assemblies clandestine factories and working-class neighborhoods of any city in the country or from the prison cells of the dictator Franco. His voice always rang out as a knock, taking his message of freedom for the oppressed, since the process 1001 and the great battles of the seventies, the establishment and development of CCOO, holding the banner of militant unionism and class against those from the trade union movement try to tame it, bend it and turn it into one more column of the capitalist system, Marcelino was the voice of working-class consciousness.
His last battle, when the offensive against the ideas of socialism and Marxism increased, and many former communist leaders unionists were won for the program of demobilization and social peace, Marcelino stood firm, defending the banner of class struggle. For that reason had to endure the harassment of many to which he himself had begun in the labor movement. Marcelino proved, at times swimming against the current principles and must be defended with more determination, he was made of a different pasta, dough, unfortunately at present it is not in the current leadership of the CCOO, more focused on negotiating instead of fighting and living in government support, rather than work for trade union unity with humility, to give side to the other state unions, ignoring them in demonstrations and / or in the recent general strike.
Marcelino was an enthusiast. No longer participate in any just cause of our class, in every battle he has waged in the last forty years. But also never been a sectarian Marcelino. I could not agree with many positions, but always kept an open mind. Companion and comrade
